Man, it was hot today. Like, the first day I have actually avoided going outside because it was so hot. Granted, I'm kindof a weenie.
So in the spirit of summer, I decided to paint my nails bright and summery! And I decided to be all crafty and get a little crazy with some painter's tape.
I started with a bright lime green as my base. And as you can tell, I often miss my nails with the paint. Oh well, the extra paint comes off in the shower.
After I let it dry for an hour (it was torturous to wait that long), I put on the tape. I put it halfway across my thumb nails, and marked off a corner on each of the other nails.
I added silver to the marked off areas. Then I waited MORE to let those dry. I'm not very patient when it comes to my nails drying. That's why they always smudge, without fail.
Here's how they turned out! When I put the top coat on, the bright green transferred a bit onto the silver, so the silver isn't as crisp and vibrant as I would have liked. It's more of a yellow-y silver, if that makes sense!
Anyway, I'm pleased with how they turned out, and I hope they last longer than a week before they start chipping! Frankly, I don't think that's very likely.
